Apple AirPods Pro On Sale For Lowest Price Ever, Includes USB-C Charging Case

The Apple AirPods Pro are among the most popular Bluetooth earbuds on the market, especially for those already in the Apple ecosystem. The Pro model, which is Apple’s best, is quite pricey at $249. Though we do see deals on AirPods semi-regularly, there’s never been a deal as good as the one running at Amazon and Best Buy right now. For a limited time, you can grab a pair of AirPods Pro for only $180. It’s certainly possible this deal could sell out, so grab it while you can.

The earbuds make great travel companions as both them and their charging case are IP54-resistant to prevent damage from water, dust, and sweat–making them just at home on the train or bus as they are at the gym or baseball field. You’ll get up to six hours of battery life on a single charge, though that jumps to 30 hours when using the charging case.

If you’re not a fan of the silicone eartips on the AirPods Pro, you’ll find another nice deal for the Apple AirPods (2nd Gen). Typically listed for $129, they’re currently on sale for $99 at Amazon and Best Buy. This model includes a Lightning Charging Case instead of the USB-C Charging Case, though they’ll still work with both old and new iPhones and other Apple gear.

Alternatively, you can step up to the AirPods (3rd Gen) for $150 (down from $169).

While these sales aren’t technically part of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, they’re running alongside other offers from Sony, Samsung, and Anker. We’ve pulled together a list of our favorite earbud deals at Amazon, so be sure to give the roundup a look before settling on a new pair of AirPods.

The Best Perks In Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile

Warzone Mobile is live with a worldwide launch that brings back Call of Duty’s popular Verdansk and Rebirth Island battle royale maps. This works much like the PC and console version of the battle royale, offering you the option to pick custom weapons and perks. Not all perk packages are created equal though, so we’ll recommend the best ones to use in your next match of Warzone Mobile.

Perk packages explained

Warzone Mobile brings back the perk setup originally introduced with Warzone 2, when perks were grouped in preset packages. This means you don’t have the larger arsenal of perks currently found in the PC and console versions of Warzone, and you can’t pick and choose the ones you want for a custom package.

Best perk packages

Perk packages are going to be subjective, and if you’re playing in trios or quads, you might want to run a different package than your teammates. Two of the best options to choose from are the Warden and Deadeye perk packages.

Warden is probably the most well-rounded package, as it includes Double Time, Strong Arm, Fast Hands, and Quick Fix. This lets you have quicker reload and weapon swap, faster health regen times, as well as increased movement speed.

I would recommend in larger squad sizes to have at least one person with the Deadeye package for the benefit of High Alert, as it gives you (and your whole team, assuming they are communicating) the intel of knowing when an enemy player is watching you. High Alert is also paired with Scavenger for more ammo, Strong Arm for throwing equipment further, and Fast Hands for faster reloading and weapon swapping.

Additionally, a third option could be Scout. This will mostly benefit snipers looking for better aim stability and stealth. This package also has Scavenger for more ammo, Strong Arm for throwing equipment further, but the main benefits include the Focus perk for reduced flinch while ADS and the extended Hold Breath duration, as well as the Ghost perk for becoming undetectable from UAVs, portable radars, and heartbeat sensors.

This should help you pick the best perk packages for your playstyle and team. We also have a guide for the best settings for touchscreen and controller, and we walk you through how to pair a controller for Warzone Mobile.

How To Use A Controller With Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile lets you relive some nostalgia on the Verdansk and Rebirth Island maps, and you’re not limited to touchscreen controllers here. You just need a controller with Bluetooth capabilities, and we’ll walk you through the steps for getting it connected on Warzone Mobile.

How to pair controller with Warzone Mobile

First, make sure you have Bluetooth Enabled on your mobile device, which is done through the device’s settings. Then, you can pair your controller.

Some supported options include:

  • Xbox Wireless Controller for Series X|S
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller for Series X|S
  • Sony PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller
  • Sony PS4 DualShock 4 Controller

Every controller will be different, but to enable pairing on an Xbox Wireless Controller, you’d press the small button just to the left of the USB port on the controller, and for the PS5 DualSense you’d press and hold the Share button and the PlayStation button at the same time until they flash blue.

Within your device’s Bluetooth settings, locate the controller you’re trying to pair and connect to that device. It will be labeled as Xbox Wireless Controller or whatever the controller type is you’re trying to pair.

Next, open the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile app. It doesn’t automatically indicate anything on the screen or in the settings that you have a controller connected. Just make sure your controller is turned on, and all you need to do is press a button or move the thumbsticks to get the “Controller Connected” message to appear.

Just beware that if your mobile device is left idle, the Bluetooth connection may disconnect, and you will have to reconnect your device to the controller using the process above.

Most of the menu functionality in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is still touchscreen-only, like choosing a playlist or customizing a loadout, but Activision says this is to be expected and not an issue with your controller. The game should seamlessly switch over to full controller functionality once you start a match of battle royale or multiplayer.

If you want the best settings to use in your next match, we have a full guide for recommended settings in Warzone Mobile for both controllers and touchscreen.

Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile – Best Settings For Controller And Touchscreen

Warzone Mobile brings back Call of Duty’s popular Verdansk and Rebirth Island battle royale maps, and you’ll want to make sure you’re using the best settings for your mobile device. Optimal settings are always going to be subjective, but here we detail our preferred options for playing Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

Here are the recommended settings for playing across Android and iOS devices:

Best HUD Settings

There are a lot of HUD customization options in Warzone Mobile, and some of your preferences might vary depending on the size of the device you’re playing on, as there are options that allow you to relocate buttons, scale their icon sizes, and alter their visibility. For me, the preset layout buttons were placed fine on a phone, but felt a little out of reach when playing on a large iPad Pro.

There are even a few presets you can try. The Classic and Popular presets have a nice look and feel for playing on touchscreen or controller, but from there you can decide if you want further customization.

From here, we’ll focus on other more specific game settings.

Best touchscreen controls

Sensitivity

Sensitivty controls

First-person Sensitivity

  • Aim Sensitivity (Horizontal): 65.00
  • Aim Sensitivity (Vertical): 0.65

Controller sensitivity

Horizontal Stick Sensitivity: 6

Vertical Stick Sensitivity: 6

Sensitivity is often a personal preference, but I’d recommend starting with at least a 6 and moving up from there as you get comfortable with the movement.

ADS sensitivity

  • Global ADS Sensitivity Multiplier: 1.50
  • ADS Sensitivity Per Zoom: On
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (low zoom): 1.0
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (2x-3x zoom): 1.50
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (4x-5x zoom): 1.00
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (6x-7x zoom): 1.50
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (8x zoom): 1.50
  • ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (high zoom): 5.00
  • ADS Sensitivity Transition Timing: Gradual

The global ADS sensitivity multiplayer defaults at 3. I think it feels better when the sensitivity is reduced for touchscreen use. Personally, a 1.00 feels better than 3, but feel free to play around and test this at a reduced level.

Best controller settings

Follow all of the settings listed above for touchscreen until you get to the final settings for controller and ADS sensitivity. You’ll likely find you want a higher ADS speed for the controller, and you’ll want to leave the Global ADS sensitivity at the default of 3. Also, turn the ADS sensitivity per zoom to “Off.”

You’re able to adjust your settings mid-match, so you can always alter the sensitivity settings on the fly if you find you need something to be higher or lower.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Is Working Toward An RPG That “Dwarfs” It

Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios blew our collective mind with the sheer scale and depth in its role-playing masterpiece, but the studio has plans for a game so gargantuan, it may very well make Baldur’s Gate 3 look tiny.

Prior to development on Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian CEO Swen Vincke was already planning out the company’s future, and this included what he calls “the very big RPG that will dwarf them all.”

Now Playing: Baldur’s Gate 4 Isn’t Next For Larian; Something Bigger Is Coming

Speaking to GameSpot at GDC, Vincke explained that Larian’s next game also won’t actually be the aforementioned “very big RPG,” but will be another step toward realizing it.

“I think there is some tech that we don’t have yet,” Vincke said. “And I don’t know what the specs are on the next gen [of gaming systems] yet, but I hope that it’s going to bring us closer.”

A game so large it makes Baldur’s Gate 3 look like a halfling’s mid-morning snack sounds almost unfathomable, perhaps to the point that you’d need to take a lengthy work sabbatical in order to finish it. Just what Vincke and the rest of the Larian team have in store for such a game remains to be seen, but it’s clear that for what we consider a “very big RPG” in 2024, the studio is doing a pretty damn good job.

For more on Larian, read why the studio opted not to make Baldur’s Gate 4–or any Dungeons & Dragons game–as its next project.

Star Wars Episode 1 Re-Release Includes Sneak Peek At The Acolyte, Tickets On Sale Soon

Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace is returning to theaters this year, and tickets are going on sale very soon. Lucasfilm has announced that tickets for The Phantom Menace’s re-release will become available Friday, March 22, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.

You can grab yourself a ticket via Fandango at that time using the link below. The movie comes to theaters on May 3, which is right in time for the Star Wars holiday of May the 4th.

Additionally, Lucasfilm announced that screenings of The Phantom Menace will include an “exclusive look” at the next Star Wars TV show, The Acolyte, which premieres in June.

The Phantom Menace originally debuted on May 19, 1999. George Lucas wrote and directed the film, which was the first in the prequel series. The film earned more than $1 billion at the global box office and remains one of the top 50 highest-grossing movies of all time. That said, like the other prequel films, it was maligned by many fans for a variety of reasons.

It’s also remembered for its impressive visual effects and for providing the first look at a young Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd), who would go on to become Darth Vader. The movie also starred Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan, Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn, and Natalie Portman as Padme.

The Phantom Menace would be followed by Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005). Presumably Lucasfilm has celebratory re-releases in store when those films hit their own 25th anniversaries in 2027 and 2030.

Lucasfilm is pressing ahead with many more Star Wars movies, the next of which is The Mandalorian & Grogu in 2026. In addition to that film, there is another Star Wars movie in the works that brings back Daisy Ridley as Rey and a “dawn of the Jedi” film from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’s James Mangold. Additionally, Dave Filoni is making his own Star Wars movie, while Taika Waititi is as well. Rian Johnson’s Star Wars trilogy is apparently still in the works, too, while Donald Glover is making a Lando movie with his brother.

This being Hollywood, there are no guarantees that any or all of these movies will be released. On the TV side, Andor Season 2 just finished filming, The Acolyte is coming in June, and Skeleton Crew will be here later.

Larian Isn’t Making Baldur’s Gate 4 Next: “That’s Not What We Were Made For”

Hot off the success of Baldur’s Gate 3–which has already been called one of the greatest role-playing games of all time–it would make sense for developer Larian Studios to gear up for a sequel. Plenty of people are surely clamoring for Baldur’s Gate 4, but the studio has something else in mind for its next game–one with no Dungeons & Dragons connection.

Speaking to GameSpot at GDC, Larian CEO Swen Vincke said that, when considering the company’s next moves, he did initially want to move ahead with more Baldur’s Gate. After proceeding with this plan for a bit, however, Larian decided it would be antithetical to the studio’s identity.

Now Playing: Baldur’s Gate 4 Isn’t Next For Larian; Something Bigger Is Coming

“That’s not what we were made for,” Vincke said. “That’s literally the opposite of what Larian is about. We want to do big, new things. We don’t want to rehash the thing that we’ve done already.”

Perhaps that’s a testament to just how successful Baldur’s Gate 3 is. Larian opted to previously make a Divinity: Original Sin sequel because, as Vincke admits, the story was not given significant attention in the first game and suffered as a result. For Original Sin 2, the narrative was significantly improved. A Baldur’s Gate 4 from Larian would, it appears, be “more Baldur’s Gate” in a way the studio didn’t want.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The physical editions for console were recently delayed, and the Xbox version will ship on four discs to account for the game’s massive file size.

Speaking of “massive,” Larian has future plans for an RPG so enormous, it will make Baldur’s Gate 3 look puny.

Riot Hits Reset On League Of Legends MMO, With No News For Years To Come

The in-development League of Legends MMO set in the world of Runeterra is going back to the drawing board, and as such will be “going dark” likely for “years to come,” according to Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill.

Merrill took to X to make the announcement, stating in a thread of posts that development on the game, which has been in development since at least 2020, has been “reset.”

“After a lot of reflection and discussion, we’ve decided to reset the direction of the project some time ago,” Merrill said. “This decision wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. The initial vision just wasn’t different enough from what you can play today. We don’t believe you all want an MMO that you’ve played before with a Runeterra coat of paint; to truly do justice to the potential of Runeterra and to meet the incredibly high expectations of players around the world, we need to do something that truly feels like a significant evolution of the genre.”

Leading the charge on the MMO’s new direction is ex-Bioware and EA developer Fabrice Condominas, who will serve as the game’s new executive producer. Merrill said he “brings a fresh perspective and a shared commitment to excellence that will guide our team as they continue on this difficult journey.”

As a result of the direction change, Merrill said news about the project, which was already scarce to begin with, will be “going dark” for what will likely be several years. However, no news is good news, he said, as silence means the team is hard at work “pouring our heart and souls into making something that we hope you’ll love.”

The League of Legends MMO lost its previous executive producer, ex-Blizzard and World of Warcraft veteran Greg Street, last year. Street worked at Riot for over nine years but left to form his own studio, Fantastic Pixel Castle. The studio is currently working on an MMO codenamed Ghost.

Street offered his own comments on the League of Legends MMO’s new direction, and said he wishes the project well and that he will “definitely play the crap out of it.” That being said, he stated how his new studio’s development process differs from that of Riot, and cited the reasons he founded his own studio.

“Two of the reasons I founded my own studio are (1) I don’t want to take 10 years to develop a game, and (2) I want to develop in the open with players along for the journey,” Street said. “Neither strategy is right or wrong. I just know my current approach plays to our studio’s strengths. No going dark here.”

Prior to his departure from Riot, Street offered various details about the direction of the League of Legends MMO, like how it would respect players’ time. He even said there was “no guarantee” the game would ever be released, as the team wouldn’t ship a game it thought would “disappoint players.”

The Boondock Saints Are Going To Raise Hell Again In A “Universe Expansion” Movie Sequel

Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery are preparing to ship up to Boston yet again, as a new sequel to The Boondock Saints is officially in development. While Boondock Saints creator Troy Duffy won’t be directing this latest entry in the series, he will be fleshing out the universe of the Irish vigilantes in a series of new books. A director hasn’t been found yet, but this new chapter in the franchise is being developed by Thunder Road, the production studio behind the successful John Wick films, and rights holder Dragonfly Films.

According to Deadline, this new Boondock Saints movie is viewed as a “universe expansion” of the action films. The original 1999 movie featured Reedus and Flanery as the MacManus brothers, siblings who start a killing spree in Boston aimed at the gangsters who infested their city. The film also starred Willem Dafoe as FBI agent Paul Smecker and Billy Connolly as Noah “Il Duce” MacManus, a legendary mob hitman and the father of the siblings he was sent to assassinate.

“When we were given the opportunity to help bring the MacManus brothers back to the screen, we jumped at the chance,” said Basil Iwanyk, of Thunder Road Films. “The unique possibility of building on the iconic mythology and characters for all the long-time fans of the series, as well as opening it up to a whole new generation, is one that we couldn’t be more excited about.”

A sequel to the film, The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day, was released in 2009, but it was a forgettable movie that became a critical and financial flop. Duffy would continue the story of the Saints in a six-issue comic book series, and a threequel was officially announced in November 2021 with plans to begin production in May 2022, but this never materialized.

Reedus has been the breakout star of The Boondock Saints, and since the cult-classic film was released, he has become well-known for his work on The Walking Dead TV series and the video game Death Stranding. He’ll be reprising his role in Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, once again lending his voice and likeness to the character of Sam Porter.
