Armored Core 6 And More From Software Games Drop To Low Prices On PC

Armored Core 6 And More From Software Games Drop To Low Prices On PC

The digital version of From Software’s excellent mech action game Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is 38% off on PC, dropping the standard edition to only $37.49 for PC (normally $60) and the deluxe edition to $43.74 (was $70). It’s worth mentioning that Armored Core 6 is playable on Steam Deck. It’s also one of the few recent releases that received a physical guidebook.

PC players can snag this deal until February 22. On top of the big discount, you’ll also get a bonus freebie, either a game or coupon for your next purchase, with your order at Fanatical. Armored Core 6 is just one of the many great games discounted to low prices during Fanatical’s Lunar New Year Sale. If you simply want Armored Core 6 and don’t care about the freebie, Green Man Gaming has the game for slightly cheaper at $36.53.

Meanwhile, console players can grab Armored Core 6 for $42 on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store until February 14.

Armored Core VI has only been discounted on a couple occasions since launching last year, making this an excellent time to pick up From Software’s latest release. Not only is it one of the best games of 2023, it also proves the studio can still make games outside of the Soulsborne fare it’s pumped out over the past decade. GameSpot reviewer Richard Wakeling awarded the game an 8/10, saying its gameplay “remains true to From Software’s original vision, but the whole experience has been refined to welcome an audience that cut its teeth on the studio’s most recent work.”

Destiny 2 Finally Has Some New PvP Maps

Destiny 2 is continuing to add new content in the lead up to the release of The Final Shape expansion in June, and this time it’s getting three brand-new maps for the Crucible, the game’s PvP arena. The maps Eventide Labs, Dissonance, and Cirrus Plaza will be available on a 3v3 playlist called New Territory.

New Crucible maps have been few and far between in the last few years, so it’s a big deal to have three new maps drop at once. Bungie showed off the new maps in a livestream in April, with each of them showcasing a region that has only been added into the game in the past few years.

Now Playing: Destiny 2: Into The Light | Official Launch Trailer

The first, Eventide Labs, is set on the icy moon of Europa, introduced in the Beyond Light expansion. The map is set in an old research outpost now used as a refuelling station by Eramis. The cliffside map features a mix of natural structures and built features, with both old human architecture and Eliksni technology.

The Dissonance map is set on a Pyramid Ship in the aftermath of the Traveler’s attack on the Witness at the start of the Lightfall expansion. Previously, these eerie environs could only be explored in the Root of Nightmares raid, but now players will have access to a similar map for PvP.

The third map Cirrus Plaza is set in what is essentially a shopping mall in the advanced city of Neomuna. Featuring an arcade, a restaurant, an aquarium, and a sweeping atrium, the symmetrically designed multi-level Cirrus Plaza will be an interesting setting for players’ PvP battles.

All three of the new maps were specifically designed with 3v3 play in mind, but they will be available for all game modes in the Crucible. The three new maps can currently be played on the 3v3 New Territory playlist.

These Five New Games Are Coming To Netflix This Month

Netflix has announced the latest wave of games coming to its streaming service, including Sonic Mania Plus, which is available to play right now. Sonic Mania Plus originally came out in 2017 and is an homage to the original classic Sonic games on Sega Genesis.

Also on the list is Braid, Anniversary Edition, which will be available on Netflix on May 14 with one new level exclusive to Netflix members. Just one week later, on May 21, you’ll also be able to play Paper Trail, which was awarded the Best Mobile Game at the Tokyo Game Show.

Following that, players will be able to try out Virgin River on May 29. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because it’s based on the Netflix series of the same name. In the interactive adventure, you’ll play as an original character who’s looking for “community, fulfillment, and, ultimately, true love” from characters in the show, according to a press release.

Last up on the list is Katana Zero. As of writing, it doesn’t have a release date, but it’s scheduled to come out sometime this month. In Katana Zero, you play as a samurai assassin tasked with killing various people, and how you interact with other characters will help shape the story. It was previously released on Switch, PC, and Xbox One.
