Baldur’s Gate 3 Voice Actors Will Play D&D Together As Their Characters

If you can’t get enough of hit RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 and its characters, I’ve got some good news for you. The voice actors behind the game’s origin characters–Shadowheart, Lae’zel, Karlach, Astarion, Gale, and Wyll–will be getting together to play an actual game of D&D together as their characters.

The D&D oneshot is being hosted by popular actual play show High Rollers, and will premiere this Friday, September 22 at 7 PM BST (11 AM PT) on Twitch. The show will also be available as a VOD for those who can’t tune in for the premiere stream.

Last week actor Devora Wilde who voices Lae’zel posted a video of the cast gathered together, including Neil Newbon (Astarion), Tim Downie (Gale), Samantha Beart (Karlach), Jennifer English (Shadowheart), and Theo Solomon (Wyll).

While Wilde didn’t say at the time why they were gathered, other than noting it’s the first time all the voice actors have been in a room together, it now looks like the video was taken while they were filming for High Rollers. Amelia Tyler, who voices the narrator, also makes an appearance in the video despite not being in the High Rollers teaser, so it’s possible she will make a cameo in the oneshot.

Since the game had its full release in August, many of the game’s voice actors have been active within the fandom, with Newbon streaming himself playing BG3 on Twitch, and Wilde voicing memes as Lae’zel on Tiktok. It’s clear the voice actors have as much love for their characters as the fans do, mentioning in the High Rollers teaser that the character voices come “terrifyingly” naturally to them now, with Astarion VA Neil Newbon even saying he’s picked up his character’s giggle.

For Baldur’s Gate fans who can’t get enough of the game’s companions (who also all happen to be romanceable), it’s exciting to get the chance to see them interact with each other in a new, off-script adventure.
