Glen Powell Is A Hit Man (But Not Really) In New Netflix Movie Trailer
Based on “Hit Man”, a Texas Monthly article by Skip Hollandsworth and written by Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater and Glen Powell, Netflix’s Hit Man follows an undercover police officer who poses as a reliable hitman, while he tries to save a woman in need.
Powell portrays mild-mannered college professor Gary Johnson, who moonlights as a fake hitman for the New Orleans Police Department. As a talented actor, he channels different personalities to catch would-be criminals who hire one of Gary’s characters to do the dirty deed.
Gary finds himself in a mirky territory as one of those potential criminals, Madison (Adria Arjona), asks him to kill her husband. However, when her husband is found dead, it sets off a chain reaction of deception and killer stakes.
Alongside Powell and Arjona, the film stars Austin Amelio (Fear The Walking Dead), Retta (Parks and Rec), Sanjay Rao (The Flight Attendant), and Evan Holtzman (Civil War) as Madison’s husband.
Hit Man premiered last year at the Venice Film Festival and will have a limited theatrical run starting May 24. It is then scheduled to be released by Netflix two weeks later on June 7.
Dave & Buster’s Bets That You Want To Bet On Arcade Games
The stakes will be raised at Dave & Buster’s in the coming months, as the national arcade chain will allow customers 18 and older to gamble on games. That means you could bet money against a friend or loved one on Skee-Ball or ping pong–let alone any arcade games available at your local location.
CNBC reports Dave & Buster’s is teaming up with Lucra, a self-described “technology provider of gamification services,” for this new gambling initiative. Wagering will be possible within the Dave & Buster’s app for loyalty members.
“This new partnership gives our loyalty members real-time, unrivaled gaming experiences, and reinforces our commitment to continuing to elevate our customer experience through innovative, cutting-edge technology,” said Simon Murray, senior VP of entertainment and attractions at Dave & Buster’s in a press release.
There reportedly will be a cap on how high people can wager on games at Dave & Buster’s, though this limit wasn’t detailed. Lucra says it will “destigmatize cash-based competition by evolving it into a fun, friendly, and social experience.”
Dave & Buster’s also has food and adult beverages for customers–along with games. The goal with this upcoming gambling initiative is to keep people at the company’s locations longer and for them to spend more money.
Sports gambling has been becoming legalized in states across the US over the years. It’s also led to NBA player Jontay Porter being banned from the league as well as NBA 2K24.
Fallout 4 Mods That Remove Next-Gen Update Are Surging In Popularity
Bethesda dropped Fallout 4’s next-gen update earlier in April, and it’s fair to say that it’s garnered a mixed reception from players–mostly thanks to technical issues and mod compatibility problems. Now, PC mods that remove the next-gen update are surging in popularity on Nexus Mods.
These mods, which include the “Fallout 4 Downgrader” and “Steam – Skip Next-Gen Update,” have roughly 60,000 downloads as of this writing, and they’ve each been out for less than a week. As their names imply, the former allows you to roll back the next-gen update with relative ease, and the latter (apparently) tricks Steam into no longer prompting you for the next-gen update at all.

It’s worth noting that we have not used either of these mods for ourselves, so your mileage may vary–the Downgrader requires your Steam credentials to work, which is potentially hazardous to say the least. Generally speaking, most popular mods for games are updated to work with every major patch, but it’s definitely not guaranteed.
Fallout 4’s next-gen update did add some graphical improvements to the game, but it was marred by technical issues from the start. This was especially the case for PS5 players, where a bug prevented players who obtained the game on the PS Plus Extra and Premium Games Catalog from downloading the free update. The next-gen “quality mode” was also found to not function correctly at launch by Digital Foundry and others. Interest in Fallout 4 and other games in the series has spiked recently thanks to the success of Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout TV show.
