House Of The Dragon Cast Takes Sides In New Video
House of the Dragon Season 2 is still a few months away, but the unfolding Targaryen civil war for control of the seven kingdoms of Westeros has already begun. There can only one king or queen on the Iron Throne. Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) is the rightful heir, and her followers are known as the Blacks. However, Rhaenyra’s half-brother, King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) is the usurper who sits on the throne with his followers, the Greens, behind him. And now, in HBO’s new featurette, the House of the Dragon cast is declaring for either Team Black or Team Green.
“We have madness on our side,” explains D’Arcy. “And we have a powerful naval presence, thanks to the Velaryon fleet.” Olivia Cooke, who plays Rhaenyra’s former friend-turned-rival, Alicent Hightower, had a succinct reply to D’Arcy’s declaration: “We have bigger dragons.”
Unsurprisingly, almost all of the cast members sided with the team aligned with their characters. The only actor who displayed any ambiguity was Fabien Frankel, who plays Rhaenyra’s former protector, Ser Criston Col, who shifted his allegiance to Alicent years ago.
“I think it’s more a loyalty thing for Cole,” said Frankel. “I think it’s his loyalty to Alicent. He wants what she wants. I myself… No comment.”
House of the Dragon Season 2 will premiere on Sunday, June 16. The second season will consist of eight episodes that will premiere weekly on HBO and Max.

It’s also available to EA Play subscribers, which comes with Game Pass Ultimate. Survivor’s predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is also available on EA Play and Game Pass. You can get a 14-day free trial of Game Pass Ultimate if you’re a new subscriber. If you’re not eligible, the best value is a three-month Game Pass Ultimate subscription at Amazon for $45, which saves you two bucks per month compared to subscribing directly from Xbox. It’s also worth noting that other retailers have raised the price of three-month Game Pass Ultimate codes to $50, but Amazon is still selling them for $45.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (PC) — $31.49 ($70)
Like the previous game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Survivor is a third-person action-adventure with metroidvania elements in its level design and weighty lightsaber combat inspired by Dark Souls. The game continues the story of Cal Kestis, who has become a seasoned Jedi Knight in the time between Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. As you journey across the Outer Rim of the galaxy, he’ll become even stronger in the ways of the Force.
In GameSpot’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor review, Jordan Ramée praised the game’s “Exhilarating lightsaber combat and physics-defying platforming puzzle challenges,” and lauded the game’s story about overcoming fear, survivor’s guilt, and self-doubt, calling it “the Jedi story I’ve wanted for a long time.”
Respawn’s Star Wars games aren’t available on Nintendo Switch, but that doesn’t mean Switch users can’t pick up a great Star Wars deal right now. Star Wars: Heritage Pack, a Switch-exclusive collection featuring seven classic Star Wars games, is on sale for $40 (was $60) at Amazon and Best Buy. The digital version of this collection costs $80, so this is a pretty nice deal, and all of the games except for two are preloaded on the cartridge:

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Preorders Are Officially Live
Disney Epic Mickey launched on Nintendo Wii way back in 2010. Now, nearly 15 years later, the game is getting a second life on Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X with Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a faithful reimagining of the old 3D platformer, complete with new abilities, enhanced graphics, and improved controls. The game doesn’t have a release date beyond “2024,” but preorders are already open at a variety of retailers.
Here’s a look at Epic Mickey: Rebrushed preorders, including all available editions and preorder bonuses. While you’re waiting for the game to launch, consider biding your time with Disney Illusion Island–which is every bit as visually stunning as Epic Mickey but lets three other players join in on the platforming action.

Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed is a big deal not just for being a new version of the classic Wii adventure on modern platforms, but also because it marks the first time the game will be available since the original was delisted from digital storefronts almost five years ago. Rebrushed seems to maintain the core gameplay, story, and art direction of the original game, while offering revitalized graphics and controls that developer Purple Lamp hopes will help the upcoming remake appeal to modern players.

You’ve Never Seen Weird Al Like This: UHF Finally Comes To 4K Blu-ray
The 1989 cult comedy classic UHF, starring a young Wierd Al Yankovic, is finally getting the 4K Blu-ray treatment this summer to coincide with its 35th anniversary. The new release will include plenty of special features to enjoy along with the new 4K remastering. UHF’s 4K Blu-ray version drops on July 2, but you can preorder your copy now at Amazon.

This 4K Blu-ray release includes both 4K and standard Blu-ray discs, with both discs featuring a completely new scan of the film from the original negative. Otherwise, the special features have largely been re-used from the previous home video releases: the audio commentary with Weird Al and the director, video from a retrospective panel at Comic-Con 2014, deleted scenes, Easter eggs and more.

If you enjoyed UHF, you’ll almost certainly have a similarly good time with Weird: The Al Yankovich story, which stars Daniel Radcliffe in a completely made-up version of Weird Al’s life story. This release includes special features like an audio commentary from Weird Al and director Eric Appel, deleted and alternate scenes, featurettes, and video interviews with the cast.
This flick is currently a Walmart exclusive, though it’ll be available at Amazon and other retailers on July 2 for $40.
In UHF, Weird Al Yankovich plays the manager of a struggling local TV station, Channel 62, who manages to juice the ratings by putting on a bunch of random weird and stupid shows. When this tactic works spectacularly, a bigger rival station takes notice and then tries to take over Channel 62, leading to all sorts of fun hijinks. The movie has maintained a cult following in the 35 years since its release and is also notable as Yankovic’s first–and only–leading role in a movie.
A bunch of other cult flicks is getting 4K Blu-ray releases soon, including the American live-action version of the tokusatsu classic The Guyver and the often-overlooked RoboCop 2. Meanwhile, fans of irreverent comedies can preorder the upcoming 4K versions of The South Park Movie and Team America: World Police.
Preorder The Limited Edition Of Oliver Stone’s Vietnam Classic Platoon On Amazon
Oliver Stone’s 1987 anti-war epic Platoon, about the horrors of Vietnam, is getting a new, limited-edition release on 4k Blu-ray. The Platoon Limited 4K Steelbool edition will be available on June 4, but preorders are live now and discounted to just $28 at Amazon (normally $40).

This isn’t the first time Platoon has seen a 4k re-release, but this limited-edition package will definitely look a little nicer on your shelf. It includes audio commentary tracks by writer-director Oliver Stone and military adviser Dale Dye, deleted and extended scenes, and documentaries about the production.
The best part, though, is that the Platoon Limited Edition is on sale in this preorder, down 30% from its usual price of $40. It’s eligible for Amazon Prime, and if the price drops further before its release on June 4, Amazon will automatically give you the better price.

If you’d rather not wait for the new release, the earlier 4k version of the movie, Platoon – Collector’s Edition, is also available on Amazon for a little less–just $24–and it’s also Prime-eligible. While this version has different cover art and lacks the special steelbook case, it features many of the same special features as the new limited edition.

Tetris And 7-Eleven Are Releasing A Handheld Gaming Device Together
Tetris and 7-Eleven have revealed that they are working on several merchandise products together, including one called the Slurpee + Tetris Handheld Game Device.
According to the product description on 7-Eleven’s website, it features an officially licensed Tetris title that plays in full-color on a 1.8 inch screen. It also has a built-in speaker with volume control. The device is powered by three AAA batteries or a USB-C cable.
It’ll cost $30 and there isn’t a set release date yet–the page only says that it’s “Coming Soon.” It also seems like the product is only going to be available in the United States, and it’s unclear if it’ll come to other regions as well. In addition to the game device, this collaboration also includes t-shirts, hoodies, hats, tote bags, and stickers.
Companies collaborating with video games have always been common. Most recently, Uniqlo worked with Nintendo to create a line of Zelda apparel, and Balenciaga collaborated with Fortnite a few years ago.

Leading off the May 2024 edition of the is Banjo Kazooie spiritual successor Yooka-Laylee, a colorful platformer in the early 2000s style. It’s a buddy comedy platforming game, where you control two characters who work together with different abilities.
