PSA: Make Sure To Pick The Same Faction As Your Friends In Gray Zone Warfare
Gray Zone Warfare is a new tactical shooter in early access on Steam, where you can squad up with your friends… if you choose the same faction that is. Players are reporting that if you choose a different faction from your friends when playing Gray Zone Warfare, you will be unable to party up together and there is currently no way to change factions.
Shared on the game’s subreddit, players have found that once you choose one of three factions in Gray Zone Warfare, your account is locked into that faction. You are also only able to play with people in the same faction as you, so if your friends choose a different faction, you will be unable to play together. There currently is no way to reset your account or make a new character, with the only potential workaround being to make a new Steam account and family-sharing the game to it.

Gray Zone Warfare is an MMO tactical shooter featuring both PvPvE and PvE extraction-like gameplay. Its main features include being ultra-realistic, with highly customizable guns and a unique health system that tries to simulate a more realistic version of taking damage in combat. One of the main appeals of Gray Zone Warfare is squadding up with friends to explore with, which is why being unable to switch factions is causing such an uproar.
Gray Zone Warfare is currently sitting at Mixed on Steam with over 3,500 reviews. The majority of the negative reviews cite performance issues, with the game unable to maintain a stable frame rate on some PCs.

Call Of Duty Brings Back The Boys DLC Soon, Along With These Unexpected Bundles
Activision has announced the next store bundles for Call of Duty as part of the big Season 4 launch, and the lineup includes the return of Activision’s partnership with Prime Video’s TV show The Boys and more.
Five store bundles themed around The Boys are returning to Call of Duty’s in-game shop in time for the Season 4 debut of the show in June. The five DLC bundles include:
- Tracer Pack: The Boys – Black Noir
- Tracer Pack: The Boys – A-Train
- Tracer Pack: The Boys – Firecracker
- Tracer Pack: The Boys – Homelander
- Tracer Pack: The Boys – Starlight
These bundles, assuming they are priced similarly to when they were previously in the shop, should cost around $20 each.
Additionally, other Season 4 store bundles include the previously announced Gundam crossover, as well as the offerings seen below that are in keeping with Call of Duty’s tradition of unexpected and eye-catching operators. Activision will reveal more details on these new store bundles on May 24.
Season 4 starts May 29 for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, ushering in numerous new maps and modes. The upcoming season will also bring back an iconic rifle: the bolt-action Kar98k. Currently, there’s a “Sally” weapon blueprint in the game that seemingly teases the rumored Black Ops 6. In fact, there’s a file text that could possibly, maybe hint at the next Call of Duty being revealed this month.
Looking ahead, a Call of Duty showcase will supposedly take place on June 9, following the Xbox Showcase.
Yakuza 7-Game DRM-Free Bundle Is Super Cheap This Week
For the next few days, you can grab one of the best sagas in video games for cheap on PC. Yakuza Complete Series, a bundle that includes the first seven games in beat-’em-up adventure series, is on sale for only $33.59 (was $112) until 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET on Friday, May 24. The seven-game collection includes almost the entire story of original series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu before the franchise was renamed Like a Dragon in the West.
The reason why we say “almost,” is because Kiryu is one of two playable characters in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the most recent mainline entry in the series, which released earlier this year. And Kiryu also starred in the spin-off game, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which launched late last year and takes place after Yakuza 6, during the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020)–the first mainline entry in the series starring Ichiban Kasuga.
As for what you do get: This collection includes every mainline game in Kiryu’s storyline, starting from Yakuza 0 and ending with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. In case you never played them, Yakuza games are essentially a mix of sandbox beat-’em-up action with melodramatic storytelling. Sure, they’re cheesy, but they’re the good kind of cheesy as Kazuma finds himself regularly embroiled in all manner of government conspiracies, underground gang wars, and at least one instance of running the best hostess club in Japan.
Narratively, these games also have an episodic structure and are broken up into chapters that makes for a digestible experience that can be enjoyed over a few weeks, if you take your time. On the gameplay side, Kazuma flexes his muscles as the legendary Dragon of Dojima and can crush skulls like a pro. Each game puts a new spin on his combat arts, and by the time you’ve mastered them, you’ll be able to perform moves that wouldn’t look out of place in a WWE ring.
It’s worth noting that two of the games in this collection are the Kiwami remakes. These are Yakuza 1 and Yakuza 2, which were remade in 2016 and 2017, respectively, and include more modernized gameplay, enhancements, and new story elements that make it more in line with Yakuza 0. Yakuza 3-5 are HD remasters, and Yakuza 6 was localized in 2018.
As a whole, the collection is an essential purchase for anyone who’s a fan of long-term storytelling and solid action.
Deadpool And Wolverine Director Is Producing A Movie Based On Disney’s Club 33
The vast majority of Disney parks guests have never been inside of Club 33, if they’re even aware of it at all. But the exclusive dining club for the stars is the latest Disney attraction that’s being developed as a feature film. The project is being produced by Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy and his production partners Dan Levine and Dan Cohen through their production company, 21 Laps Entertainment.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Goosebumps and Shazam! screenwriter Darren Lemke is set to write the script for Club 33. Lemke’s previous credits include DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek Forever After, Turbo, and Kung Fu Panda 4. He was also an executive producer on Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time.
The original Club 33 was opened in 1967 at Disneyland above the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Club 33’s guest list is exclusive to VIPs and celebrities, and Disney eventually added satellite locations of the club at Walt Disney World in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland.
According to THR, the film’s version of Club 33 is an exclusive dining club that exists outside of time and space that allows guests from the past and the present to mingle together. However, when a guest is murdered in the club, a young aspiring detective named Kim is called upon to solve the case.
Disney has had mixed results with turning its attractions into films. The Pirates of the Caribbean movies have been hits, but two different versions of the Haunted Mansion films have failed to resonate with fans. It’s too soon to say how well Club 33 will fare, as it doesn’t have a director or a release date yet.
Here’s Why Kraven The Hunter, Sony’s First R-Rated Marvel Movie, Was Delayed
Sony Pictures recently delayed Kraven the Hunter, the film company’s first R-rated Marvel movie, to a release in December. The film, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the title role, was originally set for release in August, so why the delay? Producer Matt Tolmach said the latest delay came down to selecting a window that would give the film the best chance to be a success.
“Kraven moved to Christmas because we’re excited about it and Christmas is the best release period there is, when you get people with time to go back to the movies over and over again,” Tolmach told Collider. “That was a real reflection of how the studio felt about the movie. We’re really excited. But that’s a great move that reflects just the feeling about the movie.”
Kraven the Hunter was originally lined up to release in January 2023 before being delayed to October 2023 and then again to December 2024.
Given the numerous delays for Kraven the Hunter, many are wondering about the film’s quality, especially so after Sony’s last Marvel movie, Madam Web, was a major flop. Only time will tell how Kraven the Hunter holds up critically and commercially.
With its new release date in December, Kraven the Hunter releases on the same day as the next Lord of the Rings film, The War of the Rohirrim, and a week before Mufasa: The Lion King and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Kraven the Hunter also stars Russel Crowe, Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbot, and Alessandro Nivola. It’s directed by J.C. Chandor, who previously earned an Oscar nomination for Margin Call. Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway wrote the script with Richard Wenk.
Taylor-Johnson is reportedly the frontrunner to play James Bond in the next entry in the iconic series, though an official casting announcement is yet to be made.
Simon Kinberg In Talks To Produce New Star Trek Movies
Simon Kinberg, the screenwriter, producer, and director behind the latter years of 20th Century Fox’s X-Men movies, is in negotiations to join the Star Trek franchise and produce the next movie on the big screen. However, Kinberg is not expected to write or direct the previously announced film that is in development with Andor director Toby Haynes.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Kinberg’s deal with Paramount has not been closed. The initial contract will reportedly call for Kinberg to produce Haynes’ Star Trek movie, which has a script by Seth Grahame-Smith. And if Kinberg successfully guides that project to fruition, he may assume a lead creative role on the movie side of the franchise while Alex Kurtzman and Akiva Goldsman maintain control of the various Star Trek series on Paramount+.
Kinberg made his directorial debut with Dark Phoenix, the final X-Men movie produced by 20th Century Fox before the studio was sold to Disney. His previous credits include Star Wars Rebels for Lucasfilm, as well as Murder on the Orient Express and The Martian.
The upcoming Star Trek movie by Haynes and Grahame-Smith is said to take place decades before the events of the 2009 Star Trek that featured Chris Pine and a much younger cast as the crew of the Enterprise. This may also sidestep the question of whether the new film is a reboot, since it’s set before the Kelvin timeline diverged from the original Star Trek timeline.
Star Trek Beyond was the most recent film in the franchise in 2016, but Paramount hasn’t given up on reuniting Pine and the rest of his fellow cast for one final adventure. For now, that sequel remains in development hell.
Ubisoft’s COD-Like Shooter XDefiant Is Unplayable For Many On Launch Day
Ubisoft’s brand-new Call of Duty-like shooter XDefiant, which was designed in part by former longtime Call of Duty boss Mark Rubin, launched today–and it encountered major issues right out of the gate.
Players are reporting that they are unable to join matches in the free-to-play game. Ubisoft said in response, “Please bear with us while we look into servers and matchmaking!” Rubin, for his part, posted a silly GIF on social media with the caption, “Matchmaking servers go boom!” He said the team is working to address the problems.
Rubin works remotely from Los Angeles but flew into San Francisco to be with the XDefiant team for the game’s launch today, May 21.
XDefiant has been years in the making and has faced a long and challenging road to release. The game was seemingly almost ready to launch in 2023 before it was delayed indefinitely, and then later reassigned a release date in May.
XDefiant is out now and is in the midst of a “preseason” event before Season 1 begins later this year. The preseason includes five factions from various Ubisoft’s games. The first four are the Cleaners, Libertad, Echelon, and Phantoms, which will be available to everyone immediately. The fifth faction, Dedsec, will be available to unlock or purchase. The preseason also includes 14 maps, five game modes, and 24 weapons. While most game modes will be 6v6, the preseason will also include a 4v4 ranked practice playlist, which includes the same rules as the real ranked mode coming in Season 1.
As a free-to-play game, XDefiant makes money from microtransactions. Ubisoft recently clarified that while the game allows players to buy all manner of cosmetic items, there are no pay-to-win mechanics.
