The Division Resurgence Opens Registrations For Closed Beta Test
The Division Resurgence is opening registrations for its next phase of testing. As announced during the Ubisoft Forward presentation, you can register to try out the upcoming beta test for the mobile Division game now. The beta will begin Sunday, September 12.
The next test for Resurgence will let you try the competitive Conflict PVP mode, as well as the first time you can try the Dark Zone on mobile. You can register through the official site at thedivisionresurgence.com
The Division Resurgence recently completed its first alpha test and received positive feedback for its MMO hooks and a more open-ended structure that lets you meet players in the world. It takes place between the first and second game on the timeline, and lets you revisit New York City with locations like Liberty Island and Times Square. We also got a more detailed look at the game during GameSpot Swipe, our mobile showcase.
The Ubisoft Forward presentation also gave more details on the upcoming seasons of The Division 2 content, as well as a new look at The Division: Heartland.

Save Big On Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Double Pack
If you haven’t played the latest mainline Pokemon games, you can pick up the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Double Pack for $90 on eBay. You’re saving $30 off list price with this bundle ($15 per game). Scarlet and Violet are part of a small group of Switch games that only rarely drop below $50, so this is a pretty solid deal, especially if multiple members of your household like Pokemon. If this deal sells out, Walmart has the bundle for $100.
You don’t have to play both of them to get the full Pokemon experience, so if you’re looking to share the experience with a friend or family member, here’s an easy way to do so. Plus, you’ll be able to easily trade the Pokemon that are exclusive to each game.
While there are still some technical issues with the first truly open world entry in the series, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is still a great entry in the series and features dozens of new Pokemon to catch, raise, and evolve as you explore a new land influenced by the sunny environments of Spain.
“While Pokemon Legends: Arceus dipped its toes into what an open-world Pokemon game could be, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fully embrace it,” Jake Dekker wrote in GameSpot’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet review. “This new approach to the tried-and-true Pokemon formula reinvigorates the mainline series and delivers one of the most challenging and rewarding Pokemon adventures to date.”
It’s worth noting that this double pack does not contain the two Scarlet and Violet expansions. If you’re eager to play the complete Scarlet and Violet experience, there are physical editions of each game that come with DLC vouchers. However, the Scarlet and Violet bundles cost $95 each, as the expansion pass goes for $35–so you’ll have to pay full price for each.
If you’re feeling nostalgia, the double pack for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes is available for $99 at Walmart.

Halo Infinite Finally Adds A Great Feature From MCC
343 is finally adding Match Composer to Halo Infinite, a multiplayer feature previously seen in The Master Chief Collection that makes finding a game much easier. Match Composer will launch alongside the latest Operation on June 4.
As explained in a Halo blog post, Match Composer is a feature that allows players to find very specific kinds of matches. For example, if someone is looking for Team Slayer, a 4v4 game, all they have to do is select those, and they’ll be launched into a queue looking for that specific game type.
The blog post explains that every mode will be turned on by default. So, players must turn off which game modes they don’t want to look for. It’s worth pointing out that if players are looking for a very specific game, it may take longer to find a match than someone with every mode turned on.
It’s also worth mentioning that most social playlists will have Match Composer, but players cannot use this feature when playing Ranked. Since Match Composer will not be in Ranked, the following modes will be expanded: Ranked Arena, Ranked Slayer, Ranked Doubles, and Ranked Tactical.

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Collector’s Edition Soundtrack Preorders Live At Amazon
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is undoubtedly one of the best Switch games of all time. Weaving an engaging narrative with inventive gameplay mechanics and a sprawling world to explore, the successor to Breath of the Wild quickly proved it was far more than just an asset flip. A sometimes overlooked part of its success is its soundtrack, which is filled with powerful tracks that help bring the diverse world of Hyrule to life. And if you want to keep listening to its music while away from your Switch and have a cool display piece, you’ll be glad to know that Tears of the Kingdom: Official Soundtrack preorders are now open.
The Tears of the Kingdom: Original Soundtrack is expected to begin shipping in August. Amazon lists the release date as August 9, while Play Asia lists it for August 5. You will, however, get it sooner from Amazon if you live in the US, simply because you’ll be importing from overseas at Play Asia.
The Tears of the Kingdom original soundtrack includes over 200 tracks across nine discs. Each disc features gorgeous Zelda iconography and comes with a large, decorative storage case.
Note: Play Asia’s price is $72 plus shipping and import fees, while Amazon’s price is $136, at least for the time being. If you preorder from Amazon now, you won’t be charged until your order ships in August. Plus, you will pay the lowest price offered between the time you order and release. It’s highly unlikely this soundtrack will actually sell for $136 on Amazon. We’d expect it to drop significantly–close to Play Asia’s price–before release. So you could secure your preorder now and cancel later if the launch price is too high.
That said, we wouldn’t be surprised if this edition sells out, so you may want to secure your preorder and then cancel later if you think the launch price is too high.
Step up to the collector’s edition and you’ll get the same nine discs as the standard edition as well as a stylish Master Sword USB Player with 15 additional tracks. You’ll also get a case with an exclusive design, giving you an easy way to store the volume when not in use.
Note: Amazon is currently charging $194 for the collector’s edition version of the Tears of the Kingdom soundtrack (versus $120 plus import fees at Play Asia). Just like with the standard edition, it’s unlikely you’ll actually wind up spending $194. That said, we would expect this edition to sell out, so you may want to secure your preorder and then cancel your order closer to launch if you decide against getting it.
While you’re waiting for these to ship, consider checking out the existing collection of Zelda soundtracks. This includes music from Wind Waker, Majora’s Mask, and Breath of the Wild. For good measure, we’ve also tossed in two great Mario soundtracks–one of which was released to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary. Most of these soundtracks have limited stock and prices fluctuate frequently.

Where Is Xur Today? (May 31 – June 4) Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide
It’s officially the final Xur weekend of Destiny 2’s Lightfall era, and with The Final Shape launching next week, now is a good time to go on a spending spree. Legendary Shards will be removed once the expansion launches, but what does this mean for Xur? Former game director Joe Blackburn teased a Xur rework last year, suggesting a more exciting experience with the arms dealer after the expansion goes live. For now, here’s where Xur is this week and what he has for sale.
This week you can find Xur on Nessus, in The Watcher’s Grave. For his weapon, Xur is offering SUROS Regime. Hunters can pick up Graviton Forfeit; Titans can grab Actium War Rig; and Warlocks can buy Karnstein Armlets.
Xur Location
Head to Nessus and use the Watcher’s Grave transmat zone to find Xur this week. When you arrive, hop on your sparrow and head north toward the exit of the area. Look for a big tree with pink moss on the right side of the area. Climb up onto its big, flat branch, where you can reach Xur.
Xur Exotic and Legendary Items
- Exotic Engram – 97 Legendary Shards
- SUROS Regime – 29 Legendary Shards
- Graviton Forfeit – 23 Legendary Shards
- Actium War Rig – 23 Legendary Shards
- Karnstein Armlets – 23 Legendary Shards
- Hawkmoon – 200 Legendary Shards, 125,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Cipher
- Xenology quest – Free
- Legendary weapons and armor – 50 Legendary Shards, 1,000 Glimmer
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Final Fantasy 16 Is On Sale For Cheap At Amazon And Best Buy
Final Fantasy 16 is on sale for only $35 at Amazon and Best Buy. This matches the best price yet for the latest (brand-new) mainline entry in the series.
While every Final Fantasy game is different, Final Fantasy 16 takes the RPG roots of the series and injects a healthy dose of action into its design. The result feels like a mix between the action-packed spectacle of Devil May Cry and the RPG elements of older Final Fantasy games as you use a combination of swords and sorcery to defeat powerful foes.
This is also one of the darkest Final Fantasy entries, a game that wastes no time in setting up its stale of warring kingdoms, bustling slave trades, and cutthroat politics. All of this is seen through the eyes of Clive Rosfield, the protagonist who players will guide across a story that spans decades and charts his quest to bring balance back to a world that is in disarray. Don’t worry if that sounds too much like Game of Thrones, because unlike that HBO series, Final Fantasy 16 has stunning boss fights between the Godzilla-sized Eikons that you’ll encounter.
“Having seen Final Fantasy 16 all the way through, I’m happy to include it alongside some of my all-time favorites in the series,” Michael Higham wrote in GameSpot’s Final Fantasy 16 review. “It’s heartening to see that this bold approach to both story and gameplay is now part of that legacy, expanding the definition of what a mainline entry could be. It may fall short in some respects, but it should be celebrated for its most stunning moments and the characters who embody them. FFXVI succeeds and earns its place within the Final Fantasy pantheon as one of the great entries, and does so on its own terms.”
Final Fantasy 16 is just one of many PlayStation exclusives on sale right now during Days of Play. You can also save on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for the first time, as well as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and plenty more great games:
More PlayStation Games On PC Require A PSN Account, And Players Are Upset
More of PlayStation’s games on PC will require a PSN account, even the single-player ones, and many players were upset with this decision.
During Sony’s May 2024 State of Play presentation, PlayStation announced that God of War Ragnarok and the Until Dawn remake were coming to Steam. However, according to their respective store pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store, both games require a PSN account in order to play them.

Players voiced their concerns about the situation, questioning why a single-player game needs this requirement. One player even joked that they’ll sign up for PSN when Sony finally ports Bloodborne to PC.
The PSN debacle began earlier this month when Sony announced that players would have to create a PSN account to continue playing Helldivers 2. However, Sony reversed this particular decision after fan backlash. Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut was released on PC earlier this month, but only the multiplayer aspect required a PSN account.
God of War Ragnarok for PC will launch on September 19. It supports ultrawide monitor support and DLSS/FSR/XESS, as well as all post-launch updates such as new game plus and the Valhalla DLC. The Until Dawn remake will launch on PS5 and PC in Fall 2024.
