The Office Spin-Off Adds Star Wars And White Lotus Actors – Report

A new version version of The Office is said to be in the works, and two possible leads for the potential series have been revealed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Star Wars actor Domhnall Gleeson and The White Lotus star Sabrina Impacciatore will star in the show as part of an ensemble cast.

Greg Daniels, who adapted The Office for the US, is working on the new version of the show with Nathan For You’s Michael Korman. Universal Television is said to be producing the show, and representatives declined to comment when approached by THR.

The Office currently streams on Peacock, but there is no word yet on where the new iteration of the show, should it be made, would be available. The report said Daniels and his team want to “make sure the take is right” before finding a home.

There is no word yet on who Gleeson or Impacciatore could play in a potential new version of The Office. Reports have suggested the new series would take place within the same universe as the original Office, which could make cameos from popular characters possible.

Fans have been holding out hope for some kind of Office reunion of sorts featuring the main cast, but a different report said that is “out of the question.” A number of the stars of the show recently reunited to sell a product, though.

The Office, an adaptation itself of the Ricky Gervais BBC TV show in the UK, debuted in 2005 and ran for nine seasons, ending in 2013. Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott, left the show in Season 7. The series also starred John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, B.J. Novak, Jenna Fischer, Leslie David Baker, Mindy Kaling, Kate Flannery, Phyllis Smith, Brian Baumgartner, Ed Helms, Craig Robinson, Melora Hardin, and Oscar Nunez.

Carell has said a character like Scott would not fly in today’s climate with his off-color jokes. The Office continues to be extremely popular and lucrative in syndication. NBCUniversal paid Netflix $500 million to bring all the episodes to its own streaming service, Peacock.

In other places around the world, like Australia, The Office has already been remade with new casts.

Fallout’s Jonathan Nolan Is Up For Writing More Batman Movies

Last month, Jonathan Nolan and his wife and producing partner, Lisa Joy, successfully launched Fallout on Prime Video. Prior to that, the duo co-created Westworld for HBO, and Nolan co-wrote The Dark Knight trilogy with his older brother, Christopher Nolan. It’s been 12 years since the Nolan brothers closed out their take on Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, but the younger Nolan is still willing to revisit the iconic hero.

“Wouldn’t that be a dream?” Nolan replied during an interview with the YouTube channel Showsha when asked about a potential Batman return. “That period was 10 years of my life [from] when I got the call to work on Batman Begins, and it was epic. Working with Christian [Bale], Heath [Ledger], Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and to honor an American icon. If I had the chance to go back and work on that again? Absolutely.”

Batman’s cinematic adventures are currently being overseen by writer and director Matt Reeves, who is preparing The Batman – Part II for release on October 2, 2026 and The Penguin spin-off series on Max later this year. Nolan appeared to acknowledge Reeves’ work on the franchise while noting that he already has enough work with Fallout alone.

“We’ve moved onto other things,” said Nolan. “And, of course, other people have picked up the mantel and moved on with those characters.”

Nolan was also asked about who which actor he would want to see cast as Batman in a new trilogy of films. His response was concise: “To me, it will always be Christian.”

Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree Is “First And Last DLC,” No Other Content Planned

Elden Ring – Shadow of the Erdtree–the expansion to FromSoftware’s 2022 action-RPG–is coming next month, and it will add a new layer to the story of one of gaming’s most-recent smash hits–and GameSpot’s 2022 Game Of The Year. Unfortunately for Elden Ring fans, this extra chapter will be the only DLC expansion, as game director Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed that no other new content will be coming to the game after it.

Per GamesRadar, Miyazaki made the statement while speaking with Chinese outlet Campfire Camp, where he calls Shadow of the Erdtree the “the first and last DLC” and the “only DLC” in multiple instances. However, in the same interview, Miyazaki does not rule out another game set in the Elden Ring world, though he does not confirm one either.

Now Playing: Elden Ring Shadow Of the Erdtree Trailer Breakdown

Previously, Bandai Namco has stated that Elden Ring would be made “in a variety of other areas” beside gaming, but no other projects outside of the Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC have been announced. From Software, meanwhile, has since revived a dormant franchise with last year’s Armored Core VI: Fires Of Rubicon. No other projects from the studio are known at this time.

The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring was first announced via a single teaser image in February 2023. One year later, a trailer for the DLC was released, which debuted gameplay, story teases, and a June 2024 release date.

Elden Ring – Shadow of the Erdtree launches June 21 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Ubisoft’s Call Of Duty Competitor XDefiant Launches On May 21

XDefiant, Ubisoft’s Call of Duty competitor, is launching on May 21 across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. XDefiant will start with a six-week preseason before switching over to a seasonal model similar to other live-service titles.

Announced on Ubisoft’s blog, the free-to-play arena shooter will launch on May 21 in preseason. The preseason will include five factions from various Ubisoft’s games. The first four are the Cleaners, Libertad, Echelon, and Phantoms, which will be available to everyone immediately. The fifth faction, Dedsec, will be available to unlock or purchase. The preseason also includes 14 maps, five game modes, and 24 weapons. While most game modes will be 6v6, the preseason will also include a 4v4 ranked practice playlist, which includes the same rules as the real ranked mode coming in Season 1.

The preseason is set to last six weeks, after which Season 1 will kick off. Ubisoft has provided a roadmap for the first four seasons of XDefiant, with each season lasting three months. Each new season will include a new faction, three new weapons, three new maps, and a 90-tier battle pass. Ubisoft hasn’t revealed the specifics for each season, but did provide codenames for the new factions in each season. Season 1 is codename Ruby, Season 2 codename Buzz, Season 3 codename Orchard, and Season 4 codename Horde. Every faction will be based on a group from one of Ubisoft’s various series.

The launch of XDefiant comes after a report of internal issues at Ubisoft, including allegations of a constant changing of features and a toxic workplace environment, which was reported to have caused multiple delays.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 3 Reloaded Patch Notes: Weapon Prestige Camos And Balance Changes

Call of Duty Warzone Season 3 is upon us, and that means we’ve got the full patch notes for the latest changes to the highly popular battle royale game. The biggest addition that Season 3 brings is the introduction of Weapon Prestige Camos, which allow players to earn a molten gold skin (called One Trick) for their favorite Modern Warfare 3 weapon after earning a staggering 150,000 Weapon XP. That’s a lot of kills.

Future Seasons will add more Weapon Prestige Camos to the game, giving you even more goals to work toward. Season 3 brings a number of highly varied changes to the game as a whole, and you can see them all at the link. One of the most notable is the introduction of Loaded Resurgence, which allows players to choose their preferred loadout for Insurgence. Now Playing: Modern Warfare III – Rebirth Island Season 3 Warzone Launch Trailer

This Season 3 patch brings a number of weapon changes to the game, including the introduction of a new assault rifle, the BAL-27. Described as a bullpup prototype weapon, it increases its fire rate over time while you hold down the trigger, making it a unique addition to the game. These weapon changes are quite numerous, but several general changes include increasing the movement speed on pistols and increasing the hip-fire spread on assault rifles.

If content creation is your bread and butter, there’s a good chance you’ll be looking for a display to help you create the best videos and images possible. Amazon has marked down the price of these high-quality displays by a significant amount, discounting them by $300-$400. There’s no getting around the fact that these are luxury purchases even with a reduced price, as these monitors are very much a perfect example of needing something and wanting something. After all, why have a 4K monitor when you can show off with a 5K display instead? When you see one in real life, it’ll probably be hard to go back to regular monitors. The Apple Studio Display has an exceptional build quality, accurate colors for any creative task, and surprisingly powerful built-in speakers. Pair it with a discounted Mac Mini running an M2 chipset, and you’ve got a stylish setup to help you power through tasks for years to come.

These are decently sized screens as well at 27 inches. Just be aware that the glass panel design of the base model, while offering phenomenal brightness and clarity, is more susceptible to glares than conventional monitors. If you work in a space with lots of natural light, you may want to spring for the Apple Studio Display with Nano-Texture glass. This technology disperses light to combat glares.
