Trigun Deluxe Edition Manga Preorders Are Live At Amazon

Trigun was one of the big manga and anime series of the ’90s, and a few decades later, you can relive the adventures of Vash the Stampede in a beautifully oversized collection of the original comics. Collected for the first time in its original oversized page format, the Trigun Deluxe Edition contains the original two volumes of author Yasuhiro’s Nightow’s manga and is over 700 pages in size.

If you’ve never read or watched Trigun, you’re in for a treat. A sci-fi western set on the desert planet of Gunsmoke, Trigun follows Vash the Stampede, a pacifist with uncanny marksmanship skills and the ability to destroy entire cities with a single blast if he ever uses his Angel Arm weapon. With a $60 billion bounty on his head, Vash regularly runs into trouble when trigger-happy bandits try to capture him.

This new collected edition also features a faux-leather cover with foil stamping and burnishing, making them look and feel more luxurious than your typical pocket-sized paperback manga book. It’ll be released on September 10 and is priced at $50, but you can get it for $43 from Amazon.

If you’re looking for the full collection, you can also secure a preorder for the Trigun sequel series, Trigun Maximum. Two massive volumes will be released, and this series follows Vash after he emerges from a two-year exile to save Gunsmoke from a new crowd of bounty hunters looking for the ultimate payday.

Volume One will be released on October 8 and will be followed by the second and third volumes in November and December, respectively. Like the deluxe edition, these will also be available as hardcover books with faux-leather covers and the original page format size.

Mondo’s New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Soft Vinyl Figures Are A Retro Delight

Mondo has announced a new set of collectibles, and for anyone who grew up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, these figures will be a nostalgic blast from the past. As part of the Soft Vinyl line, TMNT fans can pick up Leonardo and Donatello figures with vibrant colors, signature accessories, and enough articulation to strike a memorable pose.

These figures are inspired by both the classic TMNT toys that rolled out alongside the original animated series–and have been re-released numerous times over the decades–and Japanese sofubi toys. That gives the collectible figure an interesting blend of design influences, blending the classic shape and style of the TMNT figures with the sensibilities of Sofubi toys and a few modern influences from the Mondo team.

“It’s been a while since we had the chance to play in the TMNT sandbox, and this time around we’re focusing on melding the soft vinyl world with the TMNT world,” Mondo’s senior creative director for collectibles and design Hector Arce said. “Sofubi styling lends itself to such an interesting feel and aesthetic, and while the articulation and such are more straightforward, it’s all about the quirkiness, the craziness, and the fun that the sculpt conveys. I think that fits in perfectly with the original line of TMNT figures from the ’80s, those toys were not afraid to have fun and get silly while still looking cool.”

Leonardo and Donatello are eight inches tall each, and they both wield their signature weapons. Leonardo has two katana swords, while Donatello has his bo staff. Both of the weapons can be holstered on their respective Ninja Turtles, and other neat details on these figures include some terrific paint applications, absolutely shredded physiques, and detailed ninja clothing. These will be available for purchase starting May 21, and they’re priced at $90 each.

Arce added that it had been extremely challenging for Mondo to put its own spin on TMNT with this line, but the idea was to create both a love-letter to the original toys while evolving them for adult collectors. “When we set out to make these, we kept one thing in mind: What if those original toys had grown up with us? How big would they be so that they have that perfect fit in our now-adult beefy hands, where it invokes that feeling of holding the original figures for the first time as kids?” Arce said.

One interesting twist on the original toys? Surprisingly bigger fingers and toes. “They can’t go around eating those gnarly-sized NYC pizza slices with little hands, and big feet are definitely needed to defeat Shredder–large nails come with the territory,” Arce added.

Mondo also has several other figures in its Soft Vinyl line, including the recent release of its Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire collectibles. You can pick up both of the main Titans from the film, and each one looks impressive. While Godzilla looks fantastic with his hot pink scales, Kong looks even better with his axe and the new B.E.A.S.T Glove which gave him an edge in the battle against the Skar King.

The Chinese Room has developed a reputation for thought-provoking, emotional narratives thanks to games like Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture. Its next endeavor, Still Wakes The Deep, launches next month, and we have an exclusive new trailer that gives a behind-the-scenes look at how the team has crafted its next story.

The minidoc features interviews with lead designer Rob McLachlan and creative director John McCormick, who speak about the characters and setting of the game, and how each was developed with connection and human relationships in mind. The interviews are highlighted by never-before-seen gameplay footage of the rig, its inhabitants, and more.

Asus Charger Dock For ROG Ally And Steam Deck Is Over 50% Off

Best Buy has a fantastic deal on the Asus ROG 65W Charger Dock right now. Stock has already sold out once today, but now it’s back up for grabs for only $30 (was $65). What makes the Charger Dock so enticing is that it doubles as both an AC power brick and “dock” thanks to the HDMI adapter and USB 2.0 port.

While the ROG 65W Charger Dock is designed for the ROG Ally, customers online have reported that it works perfectly fine with Steam Deck. It likely also works with the Nintendo Switch and other portable devices that don’t require more than 65W of power.

It supports fast-charging via USB-C and is capable of displaying in 1080p with a 120Hz refresh rate or 4K at 60Hz. You can also use the USB-A port to charge a separate device, which could save you a spot in your power brick. Or you can use the USB-A port for accessories, such as dongles for keyboards, mice, or controllers.

The compact design makes it ideal for travel, so if you bring your ROG Ally or Steam Deck with you on trips, this can substitute for a traditional dock–though you may want to pair it with a budget-friendly portable stand, like this great one from JSAUX.

If you don’t yet own a ROG Ally, you’ll find it listed at Best Buy with a nice $100 price cut, bringing it to $400. The more premium version with the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor is also seeing a $100 discount, though it’s a bit more expensive at $600.

Keep in mind that the ROG 65W Charger Dock quickly sold out in the past, and it’s very possible the same will happen with this new inventory. So if you’re interested in adding it to your collection, you’ll want to swing by Best Buy as soon as you can. If you miss out, consider looking at the JSAUX Docking Station on Amazon, which works for both Steam Deck and ROG Ally, also costs $30, and includes plenty of ports for your accessories.

CoD: Warzone And MW3 Season 4 Brings Popular Character Back From The Dead

The Season 4 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone arrives on May 29, and the new promo art released by Activision shows the return of a recently killed-off character.

Season 4’s character art includes the return of John “Soap” MacTavish. Those who played the Modern Warfare 3 campaign will likely be confused, as the character was killed by Makarov in the final moments of the story.

The Season 4 artwork also includes the tagline: “A harrowing discovery can change everything,” and there’s a DNA emoji that follows it. This could mean that Soap did in fact die in the campaign, but there could be a really creepy cloning storyline for this postseason content.

There’s also the possibility of this artwork being related to Zombies, as Soap is alive in Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies storyline. Soap is currently working alongside Kate Laswell and other members of a CIA strike team for Operation Deadbolt, which aims to stop the zombie outbreak in Urzikstan. The newly released Season 4 teaser trailer shown above does reveal that the story is about stopping the contamination of a new global threat, but it’s uncertain if the weaponized device is using something related to Zombies or just a deadly gas.

The operators featured on Call of Duty’s promotional art are usually the characters featured in the seasonal battle pass, so players can likely expect to unlock this new version of Soap when Season 4 arrives.

Deadpool And Wolverine Tickets Go On Sale With New Trailer, Poster, And More

There’s only one Marvel Studios movie hitting theaters this year, and it’s just over two months away. Now, tickets for Deadpool and Wolverine have gone on sale, and that means there’s a new trailer to go along with the announcement. There isn’t much in the new video that we haven’t seen before, but it’s not like this movie needs a lot of help promoting the fact that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are reprising their iconic roles from 20th Century Fox’s Marvel movies. That was the main selling point as soon as it was announced that Jackman was cast back in 2022.

Jackman also debuted a new poster for the film while making a Star Wars reference.

Not to be outdone, Reynolds gave a brief interview to the AP while promoting If, and jokingly said “I think we can all now see that Hugh is a liar. A bald-faced horrible coward and a liar,” which continues their playful rivalry in the media.

Watch A Real Fortnite Battle Bus get Demolished By A Monster Truck

Monster trucks, the apex predators of motorsport, have left an untold path of destruction over the decades. Now, the unstoppable brutes have added a fresh victim to their list as not even Fortnite’s famed battle bus could withstand the crushing force of a 1,500-horsepower monster truck. During a recent Monster Jam event held at the Los Angeles SoFi stadium, a replica of the Battle Bus met its end when it was torn apart. This might just be the worst thing to happen to the Fortnite Battle Bus since YouTube Rewind 2018.

You can see the full event in the video below, with the car-nage starting at around the four-minute mark.

For fans of freestyle monster-truck action, there are a few Monster Jam games out in the wild. THQ Nordic published two Monster Jam Steel Titan games in 2019 and 2021, respectively, and Monster Jam Showdown has a release date of August 29 for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. An officially licensed game, it’ll include iconic vehicles like Grave Digger and Megalodon in its launch lineup of 40 Monster Trucks, and 26 more will be added to the game as DLC.

Meanwhile, Fortnite is gearing up for some big crossovers soon. Fallout has already been teased for Chapter Five: Season Three–good timing thanks to the megaton success of the Fallout TV series–and a Furiosa crossover looks like a certainty as well.
